For Students
Some students find the transition to adulthood and independent living challenging and may need to help with anything from addictions and social anxiety to organisational planning. I work with counselling students too, offering sessions for those training at Level 4 Diploma or FDA.
Supervision
I offer supervision for both counsellors and counselling students who are looking for a regular and ongoing opportunity to reflect in depth about all aspects of their practice in order to work as safely, effectively and ethically as possible.
For Adults
Counselling can offer a person a safe space to connect and build a relationship of trust and honesty. We can work together to help you through any issues in your life that have become a problem and help you get the most out of life and is often the key to being happier and more fulfilled.
For Children
Children and young people can meet new challenges regarding independence, decision making, social media self discovery, stress, bullying, sexuality, gender identity, attachment issues, abuse, neurodiversity, loss and bereavement or mental health issues. Therapy can help support them through this.
For Families
Family therapy looks to help members of a family understand each other better, change negative behaviours and resolve conflicts. We are all unique and have different perspectives and when you throw family dynamics into the mix, relationships can become fraught. Family life can feel stressful.
Online
This therapy can happen over Zoom or FaceTime. Online counselling can provide a valuable service to you if you require therapeutic help but have shied away from it before due to either emotional or practical reasons. This is not suitable for all clients at certain times in therapy.

About me and my therapy practice
Therapist – Exeter
Counselling was a natural progression for me after working in teaching and social work. I saw so many problems but was unable to help on a personal level. My curiosity deepened and I felt it I could help so much more by being there to support those who were most in need. I use many transferable skills to help both adults and children negotiate any problems they may face. I specialise in therapy for children and young people, anxiety, depression, trauma and am LGBTQIA affiliated. I also have a wider knowledge of family systems and neurodiversity and domestic abuse. However, I see clients with a wide variety of issues and provide a warm welcome for everyone.
